At Dol’s House Cleans, we do our best to respond quickly and helpfully—but sometimes we get messages that leave us guessing. In this guide, we’ll share what makes a great enquiry (the kind that gets a speedy response!), what to avoid, and why we ask for a few key details upfront.
Why Some Enquiries Go Nowhere
We completely understand—most people just want to know, “Can you fit me in?” and “How much will it cost?” But when we receive a message like this:
“Hi, do you have availability for a one-off deep clean? It’s not dirty.”
…it actually slows the process down.
Hers why:
❌ No postcode
❌ No property details
❌ No dates diary.
❌ “It’s not dirty”
Without those basics, we can’t provide further info or offer a viewing—so it turns into a lot of back and forth.
What Makes a Helpful Cleaning Enquiry?
A good enquiry gives us just enough to check availability and offer a property viewing. It doesn’t need to be long—just clear and complete.
Here’s what to include:
✅ Your postcode
✅ Number of bedrooms and bathrooms
✅ Number of pets
✅ Type of clean needed – Deep clean? End of tenancy? Post-construction? Regular?
Here’s an example of a great message:
“Hi, I’m looking for a deep clean for my 3-bed, 2-bath house in TQ12. We have one dog. Ideally, I’d like this done next week—do you have availability and what are your prices?”
That gives us everything we need to check our schedule and get back to you with some answers.
